Statutory warranty (§§ 434 ff. German Civil Code)

At Écalutier, quality, durability, and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. All products purchased through our online shop are, of course, covered by the statutory warranty for defects in accordance with § 437 of the German Civil Code (BGB) .

This means: Within 24 months of receiving the goods, we are liable for material or manufacturing defects that already existed at the time of purchase.

In the event of a warranty claim, we offer, at our discretion:

• the repair of the defective product or
• the replacement delivery of a new product or
• – if neither of these options is possible or reasonable – a refund of the purchase price .

Warranty exclusions

The statutory warranty excludes defects and damages that occur after the transfer of risk due to the customer's own fault or improper handling, in particular:

• Damage caused by improper handling, storage or use,
• natural wear and tear or consumption (e.g. used-up contents, seals, batteries),
• optical changes without affecting function,
• Damage caused by external influences such as falls, heat, liquids or frost.

Voluntary guarantee (where stated)

Some of our products may have a voluntary manufacturer's or retailer's warranty in addition to the statutory warranty. This is clearly indicated on the respective product page and is subject to the conditions described there.

If a guarantee is provided, your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this guarantee and are not limited by it.

For faster processing, we require the following information:

• Order number and purchase date,
• a brief description of the deficiency as well as
• a photo or video of the product in question.

After receiving your report, we will review the case and contact you promptly with further steps.
